Editorial and Review Policy
This policy explains how MuftiHub intends to separate general education from personal religious rulings and how review status should be understood.
Important current disclosure
Unless a page names an individual reviewer and links to that person’s profile, it has not been represented as individually scholar-reviewed. “MuftiHub Editorial Team” or “Editorial Desk” is an organizational byline, not a scholarly credential.
Source hierarchy
Writers should prefer the Qur’an with identified translation, hadith with collection and reference, recognized scholarly works or institutions, official government sources for changing travel rules, and licensed professional guidance for health, law, safeguarding, or finance. Sources should support the specific claim beside them.
Religious difference
Pages should state whether they explain broadly shared foundations, compare recognized positions, or reflect a particular legal school or reviewer. “Sunni,” “Shia,” and individual legal schools are not interchangeable labels. Personal circumstances can change the relevance of general information.
Authorship and review
Future reviewed pages will show a named writer, named reviewer, relevant credentials, review scope, review date, and stable profile links. Mental-health, legal, financial, safeguarding, and pilgrimage-logistics content may need more than one kind of reviewer.
Use of automated tools
Automated tools may assist with organization, formatting, or early drafts. They do not replace verification. Religious quotations, rulings, credentials, official requirements, and high-risk advice must be checked against appropriate sources and reviewers before a review badge is shown.
Updates and corrections
A modified date should change only after a material edit. High-risk and seasonal pages require scheduled review. Readers can report a problem through the corrections page.
