Proposed Scholar Verification Standard
MuftiHub has launched limited written scholar guidance through authorized accounts. Authorization to answer does not by itself mean that a public credential dossier has been published, and no person should be treated as verified merely because they appear in a concept, screenshot, article, or directory.
Minimum verification areas
- Government-issued identity and a live identity check.
- Claimed qualifications checked with issuing institutions or named teachers where feasible.
- References from recognized people or organizations able to assess the claimed scope.
- Declared legal school, scholarly tradition, subjects, languages, jurisdictions, and limits.
- Conflict-of-interest, conduct, privacy, safeguarding, and platform-boundary agreement.
- Periodic renewal and a route to suspend or remove a badge.
What verification would mean
Verification would mean that stated identity and credentials passed the published process for a defined scope. It would not make every answer infallible, erase legitimate scholarly disagreement, replace local law or licensed professional care, or guarantee a particular outcome.
What must be public
A verified profile should show the evidence category checked, verification date, renewal due date, subjects, languages, school or methodology, answer limitations, institutional relationships, and a reporting route. Sensitive documents themselves should remain protected.
Current status
The public-profile standard is proposed and may be strengthened as the service develops. MuftiHub is not currently publishing a verified scholar count or promising continuous availability.
