Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of MuftiHub, including Google or password-based accounts, the public learning library, private Islamic Q&A, and the public question library. By creating an account, signing in, or using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms to use private Q&A. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you meet this requirement.

Accounts and Google sign-in

You may authenticate with Google or with an email address and password. If you choose Google sign-in, you authorize Google and MuftiHub to exchange the basic account information and authentication data described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for maintaining control of your Google account, password, devices, and MuftiHub session and for notifying MuftiHub if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your full name and gender selection are used to complete your profile and match questions with an appropriate Mufti/Aalim or Aalimah. Do not impersonate another person, create accounts for abuse, attempt to obtain scholar or administrator privileges, or access another user’s account or questions.

The Q&A service

MuftiHub lets eligible users submit private Islamic questions and receive a response attributed to an assigned scholar. A 24-hour response is a service target, not a guarantee. MuftiHub may reassign, decline, close, delay, or refer a question when it is unsafe, incomplete, outside a scholar’s competence, requires local fact-finding, or should be handled by another qualified professional.

Educational and professional limitations

Public content and scholar responses are based on the information available and are provided for Islamic educational and religious-guidance purposes. They are not emergency assistance, medical diagnosis or treatment, therapy, legal advice, financial advice, or a substitute for an appropriately licensed or qualified local professional. Circumstances can change a ruling. Do not delay urgent help because of MuftiHub.

Your content and privacy

You retain responsibility for the questions and context you submit. Submit only information you have the right to share and only what is reasonably needed. Do not submit unlawful material, threats, intimate images, credentials, malicious code, or unnecessary identifying or confidential information about another person. MuftiHub may process your content as described in the Privacy Policy to operate, secure, and provide the service.

Optional public questions

If you select “Make this question and answer public,” you authorize MuftiHub to reproduce, format, display, and distribute the question text and resulting scholar answer in the public Q&A library for as long as that consent remains in place. Your account email and separate additional-context field are not included in the public listing. Do not choose public sharing if the question contains identifying or third-party information. You may request removal, but search-engine caches, quotations, or copies outside MuftiHub’s control may remain.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse MuftiHub to impersonate MuftiHub or a scholar; scrape or expose personal information; probe, attack, reverse engineer, overload, or bypass the service or its access controls; distribute harmful or deceptive material; violate intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights; automate account creation; or use the service for unlawful activity.

MuftiHub content and intellectual property

MuftiHub’s branding, site design, software, and original editorial content are owned by or licensed to MuftiHub and may not be copied or presented as your own except where applicable law permits. You may link to public pages and quote brief portions with appropriate attribution. Third-party names, marks, and content remain the property of their respective owners.

Third-party services

The service relies on third parties such as Google for optional sign-in, Convex for authentication and application data, and Vercel for hosting and analytics. Their services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies. MuftiHub is not responsible for third-party services outside its reasonable control.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time. MuftiHub may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, user safety, repeated violation of these Terms, or service discontinuation. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, public copies already made, disclaimers, and dispute provisions—will continue to apply.

Availability and disclaimers

MuftiHub aims to provide careful guidance and reliable access, but the service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, MuftiHub does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, a response within a particular period, or that every page or response is complete, error-free, current, or suitable for your circumstances. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes to the service or these Terms

Features may change, be suspended, or be discontinued. We may update these Terms when the service or legal requirements change. The updated date will appear on this page, and material changes may receive additional notice. Continued use after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

Questions and disputes

Please contact MuftiHub first so we can try to resolve a concern informally. These Terms do not limit mandatory consumer protections or other rights that apply under applicable law.
